    Hi,
I'm trying to avoid buying a new computer (or rather, avoid building one from scratch, for $ reasons).

I have an HP mobo with DDR and PCI slots. What few cards out there will run on PCI (rather than PCI-E) mention DDR2 or DDR3.

My question: though the new card would be in a PCI slot, should it be DDR (as my board is) or can it be DDR2/3? There aren't too many PCI w/ DDR graphics cards left out there in the universe.

As long as the card is PCI, the memory between the card and motherboard does not matter. You may be better off with a AGP card if your motherboard supports AGP which it should if it does not support PCI-e.

Thanks! I checked my board and I do have an AGP slot.
