Easy Media Creator 8

Just got EMC 8. For my first project, am trying to burn a movie. Each attempt comes to a halt at the 97% point of the "evaluation" phase. Anyone know the reason for this? Any suggestions/theories gladly accepted. Happy New Year, everybody!

In the EULA, does it say it's a limited evaluation until purchased? Not completing a task is a classic example of a program not fully functional until paid for. For example, some shareware registry cleaners scan the heck out of a computer, but won't remove a thing until the check clears the bank.

Hi sarge, does it do this on only one file or compilation, or every time?

Can you go through the exact process you use?

Do you get any error messages etc?

Not an expert on EMC (nice program though), but myself or others may have suggestions?

 

Well, the word "evaluation" in your initial post had me thinking you were using a trial, but I guess EMC8 uses the term in a different manner.

I would think, with the program being registered, you have access to their support for the software; perhaps submit it to them, since paying for a program usually includes free support.

 

Thanks for all the replies, guys. Problem solved. I lobbed a little off the end of the file and it now records fine. Apparently it came to a halt when it discovered the file was too long for the disc. Whatever; it's now on the DVD where it belongs! Thanks again.
