This will be simple for all of you. I use F11 a lot to open up my window, but with XP, the Favorites always stay on the left side and then I have to click it to close. I want the whole thing to open at the get go. How do I do this? Thanks. I feel like I owe my first born to this website.

when you open IE and hit F11 to full screen mode. You will notice that on your favorites bar on the left there is (at the top) a push-pin icon. This will allow you to stick or auto-hide the favorties when in full screen mode.

Yes, this is what I do. I was wondering if there is a way to have F11 open without the Favorites lingering there. It used to do this in Windows 98...basically, I'm lazy and don't want to have to click the close or auto-hide! :)

it's different, so give it some time to adjust to.

One thing to note (I'm using Win2000 and don't know if there is a difference between this and XP in this matter - sounds like it).....

If you startup IE with the folder view, then F11, you'll get the folder view along with it. If you startup with out any of the history/folder/search views (i.e., a full screen of a page), then F11 will come up without the views. Plus you can use the shortcut key (Ctrl+I - letter "i") as a toggle.
