This is a very noob question and I don't know if I even need to list specs but is there a way to hook my computer up to my home theatre sound system? I have an HP Media Centre M377n with Windows XP, and a BFG 6600GT. I have a factory standard sound card (with a red, blue and green port). I can hook my PC into my TV with HD cables, but I was thinking it would be a shame to have to use stock speakers with it.

    The stereo system is Sony.

So does anyone know how to do this? Or is it impossible?

I used to have my system set up that way unitl I got an Audigy 2zs. It worked great for music, but was annoying for orientation specific things like games. That was because my speakers were oriented around my TV and not the comp.
