Help I have a toshiba 8100 laptop and it is now telling me that my EC/KBC is damaged. Is there a way that I can fix it and boot up normally? Any advise would be appreciated.

Check that the TAB key on the keyboard is not stuck, vaguely remember that holding the TAB key on a Toshiba initiates some update process.

is that the full error message or is their more?

Did a little research into your problem, and suprisingly everyone with the same issue on a Toshiba Satellite says that simply cleaning out the keyboard with some compressed air fixed the problem.
