Ihave built a computer with an ecs 915 p-a motherboard and when I try to install windows it always reboots in the middle of it when it says "Starting Windows". The only thing I can think of it would be te motherboard or the cmos. PLEASE HELP!

also un-hook any no-essential hardware for the time being... eg. Network Card, Sound Card

and re-install and see if it boots, then if it boots, plug in one at a time the other cards.

I am talking about installing win xp. You know the first part when it say loading, then it says like loading usb keyboard driver, for example then when it done doing all the loading it says starting windows fora asplit second and then restarts

I know exactly what your talking about... and best way to troubleshoot is to eliminate excess hardware as that is a main cause of failed or troublesome installs especially with XP or any other OS.

Is this also the first re-boot from installing the OS?

Have you checked the Bios to see if boot virus protection is enabled? .... if it is disable it as its known to baulk OS installs.
