Edgar Allen Poe died in 1849 (Funeral to be held 10/11/2009)

    Seems like a long time to go without a proper funeral. Interesting read, there are better stories out there, this is just the last one I had on my screen, so it's the URL I copied. ;)

    I read that too... I can't believe, he is just now going to get a proper funeral.. Heck, I am not going to attend mine, myself... :-D I do think, however, it is a waste of $$$ now... ;)

    I had no idea he was only 40 when he died.

    The only story of his I remember was 'the tell tale heart'. We had to read that in school. That was one of the creepiest things I've read.

    I'm not sure why they feel they should hold another funeral or two for him, but I guess if people want to go.......
