Edge Loads Bing On Startup

Anyone figure out how to stop Edge from launching with Bing on startup? Happening on Win 10 Pro.

Unfortunately, you can't remove Bing from Edge. I've tried, and so have many others. What you can do is make it seem like Bing is non-existent on Edge (unless you physically type in 'Bing.com').
Firstly, make your default search engine one other than Bing in Advanced Settings. Then get out of Edge settings. Go back into settings after getting out of it. As soon as you go into Edge's browser settings, there will be an option that says 'Open Microsoft Edge With'. It will have a drop down menu underneath it. Click on that. There will be four options, but you will want to click on the 'A specific page or pages' option. Then, in the blank url form that SHOULD show up, type in your desired search engine and submit. Close Edge, then re-open it. Edge should bring up whatever search engine you entered.
If you enter something in the url bar (say 'movies playing near me') and your default search engine is still Bing, it'll still search it on Bing. So make sure your default search engine is something other than Bing.

OK, that sounds like how to remove Bing as the default page and redirecting to another browser, but how about stopping Edge from automatically coming up on startup?

Try "EdgeBlock" Gooogle for it. It's a simple executive that stops Edge loading.

We should want edge (the browser) to load, just changing search engines from Bing to Google is what i see as the goal here....... should be simple!
