Edge snail like & won't download files

    I originally thought this was a malware issue so I have had TimW trying to sort it out in the malware forum but it is clean and wants me to raise it here.
    Original post was as follows:
    I apologise first of I have missed adhering to a rule, but I cannot download any program files from the internet. My browser (Edge) is like a snail. I have the following:
    Windows 10 (upgraded last week) - 64 Bit
    Using Microsoft Edge
    Bullguard AV Suite
    Spywareblaster
    MBAM
    MBAM Anti Exploit

    Scans with these yield nothing

    Worked absolutely fine until I upgraded, can someone check out my settings, etc and advise if I should roll back to Win 8.1

    If you cannot help me I am going to bite the bullet and restore factory settings to get back to Win 8.1. Please Help

    Can you try Chrome or Firefox to see if it is duplicated? If SpywareBlaster, and both MBAM are actually RUNNING, then there's your issue. A good anti-virus should protect you, everything else will conflict with each other and slow you down. Bullguard is a suite and should cover you, the rest are for scanning if and when needed.

    Win 10 allows you to roll back to your position before you upgraded. That has to be preferable to going back to factory settings. You have 30 days to roll back, after which your 8.1 licence will be cancelled.

    Aha, so you are saying I should have my Bullguard suite plus just MBAM, is that right ?

    No, I am saying one good antivirus is all you need. Everything else is honestly overkill and more for standalone scanning. In other words, you can have all you want but you cant have them all running in startup. See how that works.

    I prefer to fix the problem rather than roll back to 8.
