Editing Firefox-Ran into a problem

I've been editing firefox via the userChrome.css, and I ran into two problems.
1. Why can I not hide the bookmarks menu? Is there a different tag for it than all the others?
2. I moved my Bookmarks Toolbar to next to where I have File, View, History, Bookmarks, and Tools, and now there is a plot of empty space between my buttons, search bar, etc and the tabs that I have open. How do I get rid of this space?

 

1. I don't know about that one. Perhaps someone else can help you with this.

Right-click on your toolbar and select Customize. If you see any 'white' spaces, drag them off. They are spacers.

Post the codes your using if the above doesn't work.

 

I had this:
#helpMenu, #edit-menu, #bookmarksMenu { display: none !important; }
But only the Help and Edit menus were gone. On a second attempt, I just copy pasted bozz's code into it, below help and edit, so now it looks like this: (and Bookmarks is now gone, too)

}

As to the second...wow. I feel like a dip$*#& for not figuring that out myself. I figured it would have been in the userChrome.css. Turns out it's nice and simple. Thanks!
