EEE 4G Linux WPA Not Working

Hey Folks, I have an EEE 4G and I am having trouble getting the WPA to stay on. To get it working, i have to go to my router and plug the laptop in and then turn on the WPA (although sometimes this doesn't work), but then whenever i restart the comp, I have to go back to step one.

What can i do to get the WPA working without connecting to the router? Right now I am using someone else's unsecure network.

State there your router brand. Some models don't work well with 4Gs.
