EEE PC with THUNDERBIRD with hotmail

    hello,

    I have just bought an eee pc, and it has thunderbird on it. I want to access my hotmail email account on it, and i cannot for the life of me work out how to access the account.

    any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    The last time I checked, hotmail does not support POP3 or any other protocol for downloading messages to a program. At least, the free version of hotmail does not. You need to either pay for a subscription or switch to google-mail (gmail.com). gmail supports POP3 for free.

    Do you know? If i have a gmail account can i forward my hotmail emails to the gmail account and then download all of the emails through thunerbird???
