Read this in the latest issue of Smart Computing, I sure didn't know about it but if it works, it would be a nice thing to know. I'm sure some of you already know about it, just wanted to throw it out there.

Have you ever had the experience of moving, copying, cutting, renaming, or deleting a file or other data, then, a second later, realized that you had made a mistake?

The next time an " oops " situation presents itself, press the keystroke combination CTRL - Z, which will reverse ( undo ) your last action

yes, CTRL-Z is the Undo keystroke. This can also be used in word and other editing programs when a mistake is made, and also used in Windows Explorer. The REDO keystroke is CTRL-Y.

In google, type in "keyboard shortcuts" without the quotes in the exact phrase box, or use link below

    http://www.google.com/search?as_q=&num=20&hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=keyboard+shortcuts&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=lang_en&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=images

You'll get lots of links (396,000) shortcuts. For Windows, IE, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, etc. That oughta keep you busy for a while :D Bazza

Personally I prefer my own brand of "Oops" strategy.

Upon making an "Oops", follow this procedure accurately, and your "Oops" will never bother you again. Ever.

Curse a bit to start (nothing strenuous, just enough to turn air slight shade of blue is enough). Next, select medium weight object, preferably with sharp edges. Launch said object in general direction of screen (does not matter if it connects, there is plenty more time for that yet). Next, curse a bit more, this time putting some real venom into it (the sort of things you would not say with your mother within earshot). Now is a good time to check the screen to see if your "Oops" has taken notice and miraculously undone itself. If not, continue thus. Take your keyboard, ensuring it is still securely plugged into the rear of box, and launch it at the nearest wall. Technique is often far more effective than raw power for this one, so make sure to practise regular. (At this point, the CTRL-Z combination has fallen flat on its arse. No keyboard=no keystrokes, and having left keyboard plugged in, good chance of severe and irreprable damage to socket, so no hope of replacement keyboard in near future) At this point, I have often found head-butting the screen to be most productive. It does not undo the problem, but does blur the screen enough for you not to realise this.
Now, for the next stage, it is important to have a sledgehammer handy at all times. If, by this time, your "Oops" has not resolved itself by some miraculous means, the sledgehammer can be used to great effect to "mask" said "oops" completely and permanantly. After all, if the entire document does not exist, how can you have made a mistake? Argue with my logic, I dare ya!!!
