egyptian hak/xp home edition HELP!

My friend has egyptian hak on there pc they had alot of problems, I installed xp home which is a genuine copy , which worked fine except when you boot up it gives option to start xp hak or xp home, so my question is how do i get rid of egypt hak and have xp home installed ? also i have a xp professional on my laptop is it possible i could install that on my friends pc ?

 

i suggest that you go back to the source of your XP disk supplier Egyptian Hak is exactly what it says and is a warez copy

 

Problem is,its someone they dnt talk to anymore due to alot of problems so what do you suggest? maybe get a genuine copy of xp pro ! im goin to try and sort it today,so i will check back on here later thanks

 

if you can buy XP at a good price then that is the best option a lot depends on what you want to do with the PC as to the OS that you use.

you should be able to find a discounted copy of XP Home/pro now as a lot of PCs come with Vista it will just be a case of looking around.

if you get a genuine copy to install it should automatically offer you the choice to format the HD and in doing so should get rid of the WAREZ OS

is your xp home a genuine windows legit copy? or is it part of that egyptian hak? if it is a windows legit copy, then i'd run darkiks boot and nuke. basically, it creates an .iso file, and you burn that to a cd via your s/w (like nero). this will ensure that your h/d is wiped clean (it will do 3 passes). g/l, sos

I did the dariks boot and nuke , then reinstalled xp home and it worked ,it took a while cos i had to disable shadowing and cache in bios settings but got there in the end so thankyou very much for your help
