Thought i would start our own little poll.

    So who floats your boat?

None of them,I've not voted again and none of the poll choices float my boat so there's no point me voting in this one.

It's gonna be a hung parliament which will be interesting.

To be honest, it was a difficult choice this time as if you took small bits of policy from all of them then you would have a great policy, however even if you did that, nothing would change.

Promise you the world and give you nothing.

I just had a few key priorities and worked out whos policies on those most matched my thinking at this moment, NHS, Immigration, Education for young kids was high on my list with a few others.

I don't know what you guys are getting bothered over.
Here in our corner of the world the prime minister has just resigned for the third time in 3 years and they are unable to find a suitable replacement the country is almost bankrupt and the parties do nothing but try to score point off each other, so we have to vote on 13 June and here it's compulsory so no skiving off.

Dont think folk are too bothered over here Bill, the politicians, press and die hard supporters maybe, me I just know unless we get someone who can go "I'm going to do this this and this" and actually do it, with no backing down to pressure groups or the EU, incase it hurts their feelings... then we carry on as normal.

Wow 3 in 3yrs, dont think thats a winning job! I agree, listening to alot of the debates it has just turned into points scoring over what I mentioned above in saying, this is what we are going to do and they stick by it, but I just know that we always take the easy safe road and get nowhere, which maybe a bad thing as we could be heading down the same route as Greece if we dont get a grip over the handouts.

What gets me is the lawyer who says that folk that didnt get to vote as they hit the stations too late (now my caveate to this is that the ones inside the polling station with card issued should have been allowed to vote, if doors where closed, but I dont know the ins and outs of our voting rules) that they could sue and get £750 (is this figure out of fresh air!), ok he has got his 15mins of fame now, but how would this work as folk (Rikky aimed at you my friend as you maybe inline for £750 for sitting on your *** and not even venturing out the door ;)) who didnt even attempt to vote could just say I tried to vote and couldnt, how do you prove that they even attempted to do so.

Ah the wonderful world of British law and politics.

Do like that idea of compulsory voting Bill, are there any fines if you dont?

What!? He did not win? I DEMAND a recount! I suspect you discriminated against him because he is American! Bunch of evil people. Not ONE single US President has EVER been elected over there! I voted for him 5 times. Some of his more loyal supporters voted for him at least 10 times.

I will have you know, I am going to E-mail my Congressman and Senator. This matter is far from over. :-D

See Mr Brown didnt get any votes in your poll, interesting.

Think any deal is a ways off yet, will need the partys to agree on at least some common ground, Tory and LibDem are close on alot but it will be the voting reform that will be a sticking point to the Tories.

Ooooh my head hurts now, politics on a weekend, I should be "gearing" up for the Spanish GP Qualy

Ahh, well we live in interesting times. I sure miss the HBT. That's all I have to say. Well except really, you can have Obama! A little Obama, and some Hopium, and you will be on your way. :-D

I would get one of those bumper stickers, but I am afraid some hopium addict might vandalize my car. :cool

Could work to the county's advantage if the Lib-Dems and other minor parties have more say, which they will, if they have the balance of power. More interesting, and one would hope, slightly more egalitarian than if either Tories or Labour outright win. We shall see.

I agree Barry, could well be good for UK, as not many countries now dont have multi-party rule, over the two party system.

Yep very serious, he was iirc suffering from depression for a number of years, then ended it one day, sad really as you say he was a likeable chap and brought alot of colour to politics.

Lord Sutch's Political party is still kind of going. The Official Monster Raving Loony Party, contested the 2010 General Election as the Monster Raving Loony William Hill Party, and is a registered political party. Established in the United Kingdom in 1963 by musician and politician David Sutch, better known as Screaming Lord Sutch (1940–1999). A name change has occurred, for obvious reasons.

Me voted for Al Beith (Lib Dem), a guy that's done funk all for Berwick in the 15 years I've been here and funk all for the last 37 years he's been MP for Berwick. It was a toss up between him, the BNP, Labour, UKIP or Tories. You couldn't torture me into voting BNP, I'll never vote Labour again as long as the party name contains the prefix 'new', the Tories are just the forerunners of 'new' Labour and UKIP are a joke. I mean, they (UKIP) pontificate about the evils of being in the EU yet have.....count them.....13 MEPs (Members of the European Parliament) riding the funking gravy train. Get real.
So I voted for a candidate that is pretty much inert in the political world.
    Some choice. :banghead
