Emachine T6528 Missing D:/ Partition

    Just Restored a T6528, The 2 Restore CD's Came From The D:/ Of The Machine, After Completed, The D:/ was not created.
    This Machine Had A Write Boot Virus, Had To Flash BIOS w/HDD Disconnected, Reconnected HDD, Then Had To Do A Low Level Format. This Removed The Virus. Used Emachines OEM Restore Disk, XP-Home Edition. Works Great/Clean,
    But No D:/ Was Created To Create The T6528 Restore CD's From Start/All Programs/Create Restore CD's.
    Any/All Comments Welcomed Thanks

    You don't need the restore partition now that you have the restore CDs. If you need to restore again, you use those same disks and restore C: again.

    For the future, you might want to consider creating an image. You will burn to CDs or DVDs or create an image of C: on an external hard drive. This will allow you to restore the computer to that point in time when the image was created.
    The advantage, you are not doing a factory restore which leaves your computer with all those patches and updates needing to be installed - again.

    I use Acronis True Image and image my hardest working windows computer about once a month. If I want to install something and I'm not sure how well it will go, I may create an image just in case something goes wrong. If the computer has a major problem, then I simply restore using the image I made.

    If your machine is 3+ years old,
    Emachine Does Not Support/purchase Your Recovery CD's.

    Once Your D:/ [Partition] Recovery Is Missing/Or Gone,
    Emachine Will Tell You They Cannot Help You, It Cannot Be
    Replaced/Reinstalled, Same w/PCAngel.

    This Is False It Can Be Done/Has Been Done
    Only Difference is during boot-up the Press F11 Does Not Appear.
    Once Completed Your Start/All Programs/ Will have The Recovery
    Listed and Create Restore CD's

    Draw Back Is Everything Has To Be Wiped Out/Unit Will Be Restored
    Back To Factory OEM, Like They Day You Purchased It.

    This Was Preformed On The T6528 Windows XP-Home Edition

    Will Be Working On The T6524 Next
