email blocker

    Sorry for the noob question, But im looking for an easy to use email blocker, im getting way to much spam in my email, any free or paid versions of software would help, thanks.

    What email program are you using?

    Thunderbird is a decent (FREE) program to use to block said spam. But, we do need more info! :)

    i use yahoo. their spam blocker consigns it all to a bulk folder. works for me and i get anything up to 100 a day. i just empty the bulk folder daily, but even so it doesnt count towards your file allowance. :)

    Okay, you use OE (outlook Express). Now, are you using your own ISP email addy? Or are you using a web based email (I.E.....Yahoo, gmail, hotmail account)......

    http://majorgeeks.com/MailWasher_d2054.html only will monitor one email addy in free version but works well in blocking spam, I use it for my ISP mail, other mail as theefool has listed that I use are online web email services that have pretty good spam blockers especially Gmail.

    but as theefool mentions we need all the info you can give to supply you with a accurate answer :)

    yes... thanks for the response, and i do use my isp mail, ie....blablabla@comcast.net. ill give mail washer a try, thanks again.
