Hate to be a doorknob but I really need a bit of help on something quite basic I hope. I'm planning to change ISPs from a piddly no-name company to Comcast because I believe they are relatively fast/cheap (I'm in Boulder, Colorado). I would like to keep Outlook as my email program because I have a large achive and I'm used to the folders, sorting, general features...Question is, is there a company (aol, yahoo, google, whoever??) where I can use their mail server (have an @aol.com email or something) for free and still use Outlook to manipulate my mail. I could obviously use @comcast.net but I don't expect to be with them for the rest of my life either, and don't want to hassle with the address change again down the road. Know what I mean? Sorry to be so wordy but I would surely appreciate some advice. Thanks!!!

Gmail works great with Outlook - I use it at home this way, and you can also access it web-bassed if you are away from home and do not have Outlook software to access it from.

You can create a free Gmail account here. On the middle right hand side click the link "Create an account now" and follow the instructions step by step. https://www.google.com/accounts/Login?continue=http://www.google.com/&hl=en

Once you have your Gmail account, to set up Outlook to access it, see the instructions in this link

If you get stuck in the process, feel free to post up your questions in this thread :)
