I am using Outlook Express, Win98SE, MyIE2. I have just started getting error messages & am unable to send email. The following error is reported:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

I've never had a problem sending to these recipients in the past. Any idea what may be causing this?

533...your ISP is blacklisting one of those addresses most likely.

Aha, I went to my ISP site and found the culprit ;)

's okay, Bob. Everybody here has done something dumb one time or another. Why, I remember the one time I did something dumb ... rainy Saturday in '59, it was, and ... oh, never mind.

Glad you solved the mystery, Muskie.

Bob, have you PHONED your ISP to see whether the scheduled work has been FINISHED?
(Ever notice that you don't get EVERYthing done as quickly as you THOUGHT you would? ISPs have the same problem. In SPADES.)

That's so true Wisewiz. I've been trying to call all morning with no results. I'm gonna keep trying though. Ya can't keep a good man down. I need my email. :)

Going shopping, be back in an hour. ;)

Fixed it. Finally got online help from the ISP. Opened OE, Tools, Accounts, Properties, Server, clicked on "My sever requires authentication". Voila!!!

I don't have any idea how this came unchecked. Everything was working fine on Friday. Regardless, it's fixed & I can send email now. Thanks everyone for the help. ;)
