email links error

Hi. Great site. Been very helpful. Maybe too helpful as I think I went a little crazy with some of the spyware, security tools and somehow screwed up the ability to click an email on a web site and have it open it my Yahoo account. I get the loading error message:

C:\WINDOWS\DOWNLO~1\YMMAPI.DLL


Any thoughts on how to get this function back up? I have WINDOWS ME. Have tried restoring my system, etc. Is this even the right section of the forum to post this? Help please if you can. I was laid off 4 wks ago and am trying to post my resume with sites, and having this auto connect email feature sure speeds me up.
