Email Notification

May need to re-subscribe to them, have no idea why they would stop as I dont think the forum software has been updated this week.

Also check your spam/junk folder? for some reason with Hotmail, I get some emails from MGs in my junk folder, due to the full email address not being present! if its in spam/junk add it to your safe sender list.

Clear out cookie and temps, but cannot see it being that, but ya never know..... I will also alert MA and CP to look into this too, I have subscribed to this thread to see if I get them.

 

No on notification as as a tick in that box, highlights you wish to do something to that subscription, like delete/move/change email subscription from the Selected Threads dropdown box.

Which email service you using, but also check the blocked senders list as if tim@ or majorgeeks.com is listed then no email will come in or even be in your junk box, its removed before you get it.


I have just started again getting my MG emails into my junk, I know why, its just how to fix, but seems more are starting to get similar like yourself, I will as I said mention it to MA and CP as they are the ones to look into this as I think its the forum software notification system at fault.

 

sadly I upgraded over a year ago to the beta Live Hotmail as its now known so menus maybe different on the webmail pages ( I use Windows Live Mail beta to get all my mail as it works with nearly all email services ) but try this Click Options ( maybe top right side ) then at bottom of that list More Options this should give you all the settings including Safe and Blocked senders lists.

I think it is how the forum sends the notifications out as I get same.

Yes it maybe worth a try in changing your alerts to AOL mail, or if you want and dont have Googles Gmail I can invite you to that if you PM me your Hotmail address?

I do think its our end as I get a malformed email address with no domain address as in whats after the @majorgeeks.com in the address, without this its likely hotmails spamfilter will find it and also you cannot add it to the safe list as its not a full address! catch22.

 

*follow-up* Notfication replies come through on Gmail ok.

 

Wildwolf, this should now be fixed and Hotmail should work, I just need to test myself, by subscribing to a few threads ( something I never do )

 

No problems, Philipp the MGs code Geek fixed the problem, and I now get all MG mail in normal inbox, so hopefully in me replying you should get a message in the inbox! *X-Fingers*
