Email Savers

I used Email Saver XE for years with my Outlook Express Charter email account.

I live in my rv now and move occasionally, and Charter isn't always available.

So I started using Yahoo email for my genealogy correspondence; however, apparently it can't be backed up with Email Saver XE.

Does anyone know if there is a way to move Yahoo emails to Outlook Express so I can use Email Saver XE

or, does anyone know of a way to back up Yahoo emails at the Yahoo site?

I do get alot of emails on genealogy subjects and need to save them.

 

It depends on the type of Yahoo account you have as to whether you can get your emails down to Outlook Express. I have 2 free accounts with them (one to avoid spam in my main account) and only one can be brought down to OE. The one that can be brought down to OE is the one that ends in my country code and not just .com

You may be able to upgrade your account for a reasonable fee and get the ability to do that if you can't get a country-specific account that includes that feature or aren't willing to change your email address.

Otherwise, your options would be to forward them to another account that can be saved in OE (DON'T forget to back up your OE mailboxes!) or to save each one individually as web pages or copying and pasting the text into something else such as Word or NotePad. If you decide to forward them, check for being able to redirect automatically based on keywords, either to another email account (which you probably won't find) or to a set folder so that you can group them for easy forwarding.
