Email Timestamp???

I can check my email on my webemail and there the time is right however when I download it to my computer the time is altered by 8hrs. it is only one of my mail accounts not them all...

Any ideas?

 

This happens to each and every email in one account only? For example, if you have account1-at-yahoo-dot-com and also account2-at-yahoo-dot-com, this would only happen on account1?

 

I have 2 email accounts. email account 1 receives an email and the timestamp is correct. email account 2 receives an email and the timestamp is 8hrs off. checking the email before downloading using webmail shows the timestamp correct.

 

Hi I think what Dlb is asking in above post is; are your two accounts with the same ISP? If one ISP is in the UK for example on one in the US, it could be the server time of download. Could also be the time format too, check the user options on the account and see if there are any settings.

What email program are you using to download the mail?

 

Everything had been fine for a long time, just happened randomly. The account that was messed was my local email provider's email.

I was using Windows Mail, and I have chalked the issue up to a bug in that app.

I have dropped that app and switched to Thunderbird.
