Emailing Pictures - Please Help

I have just started working from home and have to email lots of photos.

I am using xp and microsoft offfice outlook and my emails are not going through because of the size of the photo attachments.

Someone has said you can compress them?

How do I do this. I've tried using winzip but its not making any difference to the size of the attachment.

I usually send between 15-30 photos at a time and the attachments are approx 30-40 KB.

Can anyone help.

Hi

Are the emails and attachments rejected your end or at the recipients? if at recipients do they have any error/warning messages as to why they cannot view your pictures?

as those files do not sound big at all as i send huge single 20mb images arround at times, but it depends sometimes what the email service has as to attachment file size restrictions as to if others can accept these or not.

You could try compressing them with 7Zip which is good on compression http://www.majorgeeks.com/7-Zip_d4603.html

Another issue could be both yours and intendeds Outlook restrictions on opening attachements as some companies or users have added .zip to the restrictions list http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP073264181033.aspx so worth checking this too.

Thanks for replying.

I can only send 20MB at at time but I thought you could maybe make the photos smaller or something. Sorry to appear dense. I use the pc ok but I'm limited when it comes to things like this.

Also, they are rejected my end.

They take foreever to send and then an error message comes up saying that its been rejected because its too big.
