Every once in awhile when I'm trying to do something, I get the instruction to enter the "Command Line" or the "Path." What are these, where do I find them, and how do I enter them? (I guess those are three questions.) Thanks.

For the path question it's when a program is searching where the .EXE

Example: you click on ad-adware the program should be
Program files/lavasoft/ad-adware se personal but somehow
    it's not there anymore.....

For the command line question since you win 98 it is when you click
    START and ms-dos.

    Hope this help.....

Command Line: A CLI (command line interface) is a user interface to a computer's operating system or an application in which the user responds to a visual prompt by typing in a command on a specified line, receives a response back from the system, and then enters another command, and so forth. The MS-DOS Prompt application in a Windows operating system is an example of the provision of a command line interface. Today, most users prefer the graphical user interface (GUI) offered by Windows.

In XP goto start > run > type cmd & enter - in 98 type command.

Path is a fancy way of saying where the file is located.. ie c:\windows\system is a path.

    Hope it helps
