Embedded Video Converter messed up audio sync?

I've been downloading lots of flash files that are embedded on web pages. I want to burn them to a dvd but I need to convert them into the proper format first. The realplayer converter I was using is messing up the audio levels while converting and they come out completely unsynced with the video and it's driving me insane. The audio REFUSES to match up with the video no matter what I try to do. I need a better converter. I have no clue where to start. As usual, I'm broke.
