Embeded YouTube videos do not show up

Suddenly, whenever I go to any website with embeded YouTube videos; the links do not show up at all (for example here) - there's just a big empty "white" space where the YouTube video activation button should be.

Oddly enough, when I go directly to the YouTube site, the videos work just fine...

This problem happens while using Maxthon and the problem extends to IE as well. There is no problem while using Firefox. Anybody out there know "the fix" for this problem?

P.S. This may or may not have anything to do with this particular problem, but I thought I'd mention it:

The only thing that I can think of which has been altered/changed recently is the fact that I got the extensive Windows Update (explained here) last week.

    Thanks!

Since Maxthon is based on IE (meaning that it shares IE's code) I would think that it is somehow not compatible with one of the new updates, or Maxthon updated itself, which also changed internal settings for IE, or one of the updates changed the way that Maxthon handles the video links. I would try uninstalling and re-installing Maxthon with a reboot in between. Before re-installing Maxthon, I'd go online with IE to see if the problem has been resolved. If running IE7, you could try removing it and going back to IE6. You could also try researching the new updates to see if one of 'em may be responsible for the problem, then you could just remove the one update..... sometimes a system restore to a date right before you first noticed the problem will help.
    Good luck!

Thanks so much for the tips dlb...

I decided to research the problem by first checking out YouTube website's "help" webpage links. One of the suggestions for problems similar to this one (i.e. not being able to view Youtube videos, etc) was listed there; recommending uninstalling and then reinstalling Adobe Flash Player which worked perfectly. Problem solved!

    Thanks again... ;)
