I COMPRESSED MY C:\ DRIVE AND THEN AFTER A SHORT TIME I RE-BOOTED MY GATEWAY AND DID THE SAME THING TO MY DELL AND AFTER RE-BOOTING I GOT THE MESSAGE "BOOTMGR is compressed" NOW I CANT BOOT TO WINDOWS.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT I DID? WHAT THAT MEANS? AND HOW TO REPAIR IT?
IF I CAN GET AN ANSWER TODAY BEFORE 2:30PM THAT WILL BE GREAT OR I MAY HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW WHEN MY FRIEND BRINGS HER LAPTOP BACK TO MY HOUSE FOR ME TO GET ONLINE.
I AM RUNNING WINDOWS 7 ON MY COMPUTERS.

You'll need to boot from an install or recovery disk and run a repair.

Also, here is a link to a you tube video on repairing this. This was for XP but the general procedure will be the same. Get to the quota tab on the C drive and uncheck the compress box.
