emergency! need help now!

    :mad: I am currently running windows xp and my computer will randomly restart without any warning. (usually at the worst time, ie. burning a disc, running a virus scan, just surfing the web, playing games, or writing this thread for the 5th time) Why is my computer doing this to me? What can I do about it? I really don't want to have to reinstall windows (i have a lot of crap to try to back up) It's driving me crazy. please help!
