emule

all the servers are sex sites? how do they get on there. no-one has accessed these. what do i do? what is a server? as i remove them they reappear.

 

So what's the problem?

A server is basically a computer that is used to deliver data, like the server here.

When you download or access a site, you are doing so from the sites server. It serves you the information or files.

I don't know why they are coming up as I don't use emule, but after this I think I just might.

so how do i know which servers are ligit? i havnt used emule befor and i dont understand it. are you saying that if i download music, it comes through one of these? or do the music downloads come from other sites? i just had a load of problems with the men in my life accessing porn, so i dont want to make it easy for them to do it again. i used to have kazaa lite+++, which was uninstalled, when i was sorting the problems out. this was recomended as an alternative. constantly confused.

As for making it easier for others finding porn, Google and Yahoo! make it much easier than you or emule's server list ever could.

 

You should use edonkey2000 instead a lot faster and safer and for the server
for edonkey2000 choose razorback2 is the best one and faster and they have a forum if you need help...

I use edonkey2000 to download t.v only

It must be using a host file on your computer, or that was included when you downloaded emule.

That's the only thing I can think of. (A host file is a small text file that contains a list of servers that a program uses)

It has it's own list of servers in the server.met file.

 

Why not try shareaza? It is spyware free, and i guess a decent program. I dont use it but my dad does on his laptop (which to him is the holy grail so no touchy to anyone else but him and good old mom lol). I use limewire and thats good though. There are stories about it having spyware which was true. All that spyware was was its online store and an antispyware program like ad aware can remove it permanently without hurting anything. But the spyware though was removed and you have to go through the site to get to limeshop so the newest versions no longer have spyware on them. Give that a shot.

Hi Laurie...

eMule is a peer to peer file sharing tool. The files you download are not necessarilly coming from the (sex) servers. The servers act as a go between for all the peers on the network. Removing them will not change anything. Ignore the names of the servers and move on to downloading your files.

Best servers are Razorback 2 and Donkey Server 1.

 

Ok Lauire what im sayin is that old versions of limewire had adware in them but it was able to be removed with adaware se personal. But the latest versions do not have any spyware whatsoever in them.
