encripted zip file

Hi, I encripted a zip file, clicking the box to stop the file coming up in a search, now I need to locate the file but can not find it. I've tried using windows search and I've gone into the advanced options and selected "search hidden files" but it doesn't appear, is it still in there or could it have been deleted?

Well, seeing as you 'programmed' it to be invisible to a search, that isn't going to work. I'm assuming you forgot where you put the file (OOOOOPS!). It happens. All I can think of is to either download, create, and boot to the UBCD4Win (www.ubcd4win.com) and locate the file that way via one of the explorers, or remove your HD and slave it to a 2nd PC and search that way. No guarantees here, I'm just guessing. I'm pretty sure the file is still there unless you physically deleted by moving it to the Recycle Bin or directly. Files (usually) don't delete all by themselves
