Epson RX 595 won't print black

I have an Epson RX 595 that I use only occassionally. It was low on ink so I put in new Epson carts. Test page had hardly any yellow and no black. Did a head cleaning and test page x2. Got a little yellow, but no black. Took out the cartridges and cleaned all the spikes (or whatever they are called). no change. Let it sit overnight and did another spike cleaning and head clean. Now the yellow is good but still no black. Not even a little. Tried another black cart. no change.

Any thoughts?
