epson rx425 mfd

    Epson rx425 muti-function device. The pc (Dell laptop 1.4PentM WinXPpro)is connected with usb. The pc has found all functions except 'printer'. Manually installed printer driver - not interested.
    On reboot it finds the printer but states there is an RPC failure and fails the installation.
    What is this RPC failure please?

    The epson installed ok on a win98 machine. :rolleyes:

    Thanks for the reply. RPC can't be disabled (loads of dependancies) so I'm lost to why I'm getting an RPC failure message...
