I have just upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Printer didn't plug and play and didn't find an appropriate driver with 7 so tried to install the driver over at Epson to no avail. Says its installed and ready but when I click print it's unresponsive.

    Any ideas guys?

    Thanks

Don't shoot the messenger on this, but it's likely you may have to break down and buy a new printer.

I ran into this issue on a few Dell All-In-Ones with a client upgrading to Win 7. Although Dell's "support" (I use the term loosely) page listed a driver for Win 7, attempting to get it to work properly was an exercise in futility. Even at the discounted labor rate I was charging the client, after two hours he and I both agreed it was best to cut our losses; I found decent Canon All In One replacements for about $60 each.

Generally, my experience has been Canon has both the best driver support and least added crapware for inkjets; Samsung is also a good choice if you prefer laser.

just to reiterate, you downloaded the epson easyprint v3.1? have you tried reinstalling it?
also, try running windows update, and check the optional updates for anything epson related.
