Epson Stylus NX415 very slow in responding

    A friend is using an HP computer that has 2.5GB RAM and over 1 Ghz processor speed, but when he wants to print a picture or document it takes at least 15 minutes for the printer to respond and start printing. It is running XP SP3. And the printer is an Epson Stylus NX415

    I have checked all of the setting in the printer properties and they are fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver...but still slow.

    Is there a setting in the computer management that controls this?

    how is the printer attached? i'm going to assume it's usb. have you tried connecting to a different usb port?
