Epson WP4015 Blocked

    Hi There,

    I am new to this Forum and this is my first post. I am having a problem with my Epson WP4015 Work Force printer. It is a network printer and my PC is operating Windows 7.
    It won't print yellow, all other colours are fine. I have tried the customary nozzle clean but nothing is working. I am thinking of a print head cleaner but don't know how to access the print head?
    Has anyone had a similar problem and how did you resolve it?

    Have you checked the ink level of the cartridge?

    Hi Eldon,

    Thank you for your reply. The cartridge is a brand new Epson cartridge only installed a couple of days ago.

    Ok.
    Kindly don't misinterpret my questions. Sometimes the obvious is right in front of us. I visited Epson's website but couldn't check the printer's specs, something about a long running script.

    Does the printer have 3 separate colour cartridges? If it does, did you replace all of them? Did you realign the cartridges?

    Cleaning the nozzle(s) should be done by the printer. Check the manual/program.

    Hi Eldon,

    The WP4015 has individual cartridges for each colour including black. I didn't change the red, blue or black as they re all working perfectly well. I have run a nozzle alignment a couple of times and I have run the nozzle clean facility by the printer and via my PC a number of times.

    If air somehow got into the cartridge, the ink will have dried. Do you hear anything when shaking the cartridge?
    After everything you've done, it seems the problem is with the cartridge itself. The only solution is to contact the supplier.

    Hi Eldon,

    The yellow doesn't sound quite the same as the other cartridges when I shake it. I have been In touch with the supplier and they are sending out a new cartridge. Watch this space!
