erase hard disk drive

    Hi know that even when you format a computers hard drive, there are still traces of data that are left.
    I have downloaded the HDDLowLevelFormatTool. I have not used it but I reckon it would securely erase all data from a hard drive. Does anyone else know of any other program that would do a better job?

    Try ontrack data erase it took about 7 hours to format to zero and another 7 to confrim it is used by the DOD but you can find it online I have seen it for free only used it once but it did really zero out my drive
