erasing H>DRIVE

    want to erase /reformat my HD.winxp wont open because i have it on my pc.its a dell laptop HD iwant to erase then install win 98.HELP

    To access that you can use a WIN98 start-up disk or download one, then you can delete the active partition and reformat! :)

    if the Hard drive is currently formatted in ntfs, then the win98 boot disk wont read that partition correctly...you should use the winxp cd to boot and remove the partition then reboot with the 98 boot disk to make the fat32 partition.
