ERROR 132 comes up when starting WORLD OF WARCRAFT

I have a friend who normally plays WOW and the other day an ERROR132 came up and we tried to find out why this is. We have upgraded the video card and checked the RAM and everything is OK. He has 2Gb of RAM and is using WINXP.

Can anyone help us figure this out? Please help.

 

Not much to go on there - exactly when does the error come up?
In logon, character selection or during load?
I can suggest the standard fixes:

Uninstall your video driver and clean your registry and reinstall the latest driver if you have any doubt about the vid card.

Remove all your WOW add ons and delete your WTF folder to see if it is a WOW problem.

Thanxs for helping out. We found out that it is a WOW problem due to adding the latest patch......... From what I hear there are a lot of people with the same problem. The patch must be corrupted and that is why there is a problem.

 

So error 132 is back? I know when WoW first released it was a huge problem for many people. It has something to do with WoWs memory management ( I fixed it by fiddling with my ram settings slightly way back then .. before Blizzard fixed it themselves ).

 

Thanxs everyone for responding to my thread. We have since fixed the problem and found that the RAM sticks were in the wrong slots and one of them wasn't in all the way. It pays to pay attention to what you are doing and reading the manual that comes with the motherboard.
