Error 403

Hi all!
I thought I'd try here as Microsucks have given me no help at all with this problem.
We bought this new laptop about a year and a half ago and got BT Wireless Broadband to go with it (UK here). Everything has been fine up to when we got back from a trip to Ireland. In Ireland we had to install a new internet server so went with a free dial up provider so we could at least access e-mails etc.
When we got home I think my wife just deleted the connection and firefox was working fine and connections to the wireless seemed fine. It's only now that while trying to use realplayer that we noticed problems with IE.
When opening IE we get the following message:

403 Forbidden
You were denied access because:
Access denied by access control list.

After re-installing IE and trying to update we still receive that message.
It's getting annoying now because lots of programs use IE for updates and we can't seem to change the settings for them.

We also have an internet connection in the network settings window that has no settings at all and we can't delete it either.

Most infuriating is that windows knows there is a wireless connection but IE refuses to use it. I've removed IE from the windows components section and re-installed but still we're having problems. I'm losing hair at a faster rate here and just want the system to go back to normal without having to reset the whole system!

I've looked in the Add/remove programs section and nothing out of the ordinary there either.

Can anybody help me with this?

 

It's ok i found the 'reset internet settings' button and had to turn off google searchbar from blocking it.
Problem solved!
