Hi..I recently tried to load software from a CD. It didn't self install as I'm accustomed to it doing. So I copied the files off the D drive into a folder, and tried to use "setup.exe" and "autorun.exe". Both times the install stopped and I got the above error. I have to assume it's some sort of corrupted install file. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!

More information would be helpful. What OS (XP, 98, 2k, Vista) are you using? Also, what cd is this? Is it a copied cd, or is it a store bought cd?

more info re my error code:
XP - SP2, software I'm trying to load is Turbo Tax - fresh store bought disc. I tried loading it via the original HP CD drive (D) and self installed (1 yr ago) DVD writer, both show the files when searching the drive, but will not "open" to use the program using .exe files. I don't think it's an Intuit glitch. The CD drive will play music CDs, but software programs don't open via the InstallShield window that usually shows up.
