error after install

i have just downloaded and installed glary utilitys from here http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5870

and when it finished installing it said this (see picture)

i get this error ever once in a while with certian software so i reinstall like it says doesnt make a difference

any idea what caused this or how to fix it?

Should shed some light on your problem, either install a new copy of the file in Windows/system32 or uninstall and reinstall the driver, it should be available from your computer manufacturers web site under downloads or from Realtek web site.

Hi

Dont think you need a driver as the linked forum with similar issue to yours, is different question as they are having issue with a Realtek driver (RTHDCPL.EXE), whereas your error is with the file integrator.exe which is part of Glary Utils, which for some reason cannot find an .ocx file.

What Windows version and Service Pack are you running?

Try this and see if re-registering the HHCTRL.OCX file, click Start > Run and type the below

regsvr32 /u %windir%\system32\hhctrl.ocx and hit enter/ok
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\hhctrl.ocx and hit enter/ok

Then try re-installing Glary Utils.

i just did and this is what i got (see picture)

idk whats causing this and its not specificly glary utilitys as a stated previously

ps:win xp pro, version 2002, sp2

Hi

Could run from a command prompt sfc /scannow to check your system files (will need XP CD) especially as its causing issue with other applications that call on this file.

But as this update file is one for HTML Help pages and does have the ocx files in it, this could re-install the missing components http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...26-ae89-4cb3-a819-e6da160f2e66&DisplayLang=en

Or this one which while not same error message as posted upto now, may also fix the ocx files http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=935448

Do a system restore point before installing, generally updates from MSFT automatically do this in the majority of cases, but worth doing manually.

downloaded the first one and it sayed must be installed on a computer with no service packs
