Error code 20

Hi,

New to board.

Been getting disconnected from the internet a lot lately. I get an Error Code 20 message window. Any help on this appreciated.

Please reply with more information on what sort of system you are running what operating system you are using
how you connect to the internet
more info on the error ie any further writing ,..what you are doing at the time or if its a random event
also any info on a firewall etc you may be using

I have Windows XP home and 56k modem (dial up).

I just disabled my firewall, but it still happened. I have both Norton AV and Internet Security. This just started happening recently, within the last couple of weeks.

It seems when I go to a page transition. I will get the page that tells me that it cannot open the internet page/site and then it disconnects and I get the error message.

I visited the same sites all the times, mostly baseball/military type sites.

OK m8 lets sort out the obvious first if you havent checked for spyware lately go here http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads31.html
and download
Ad-aware and
Spybot Search and Destroy
before scanning with these make sure you use the check for updates buttons from within the programs themselves then download any available updates
Next run a full scan with both and delete anything found

Ok also have you got all the latest windows updates available i know this may be a pain on a 56k but its very necessary

Now as far as the error msg goes there must be more info there it might seem irrelevant but its what we need to diagnose your problem now please read this thread it will tell you how to take screenshots follow that guide and the next time you get an error please take a screenshot and post it here

Ok finally i would suggest you clean out all your old temporary internet files etc if you dont know how to do this manually go here and download this nice free cleaner its very easy to use

I'm Currently Using A University Computer,all I Want To Know And Be Advised Is About ,how To Play A Movie Or Music Video,cause Few Minutes Later I Tried It But It Didn't Play ,and I Was Using The Yahoo.com Website It Says "use Error Code 20".
Please Help Me So That I May Be Able To Play Music Video Via A Computer,and Show Me The Procedure.
