error in IE home page/ optimizer popups

I down loaded every fix I could think off adaware keeps finding loads of stuff. value popups optimizer popups and a few others are driving me nuts. My home page comes up error and goes to a site I never heard of, if I reload it, it goes to my home page.

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. lets see your HJT log. post as an attachment please and make sure you run it from a location outside of any temp folders, my documents or documents and settings.
i.e. run it from something like C:\HJT

I didn't see any of the online scans being run. Did you run those?

Looks like you have quite a few trojans on your system.

First, lets empty your temp files and your internet cache.
Remove any search bar tools from add/remove and any other program that you don't find familiar.
Web Rebates has to go. <--can remove with spybot

Then do the online scans and then run this

a-squared (a²) Personal Edition 1.1 (requires free registration)

you will have to run the tutorial for all profiles on your machine.

When you're done, post a ne log.
