Error in network connections

    Hi all
    i open network connections and nothing came up
    i right click and this message came up:
    The network connections is unable to retrive the network adapter on your machine

    Please help

    open a cmd prompt, ping 127.0.0.1, if destination is unreachable (times out) look at the config of the nic, if you can't access that try reloading the drivers for the nic. if that dosen't work the card is probably fried.

    Check you device manager and make sure there isn't a red X or a yellow excalamtion icon next to your network card item.
