Does anyone have any idea where this one comes from? See jpg attached. I get this every time I boot up. The associated process is Popup.exe. What is the diagnostic procedure to track down the problem?

When I read your post, and then saw the screen shot, my first thought was "that doesn't look like a legitimate Windows error message". I did a little research.....
The process popup.exe is a trojan/virus, and the error message is NOT a real, legitimate message. It's a fake generated by the virus/trojan. Visit this link http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407 Read through it all the way and follow the steps exactly as they are explained. If you still have issues after following the steps outlined in that link, post in the malware forum and the geniuses over there will be happy to help; but they are VERY busy, so please be patient.

    Good luck!
