error installing win 7 on new build system

I built a new system and when I try to install my new copy of win 7 home premium 64 bit, it keeps telling me it cannot install required files, may be corrupt or missing, error:0x80070017. I did not change any settings on the system. following is my system components'
Motherboard- MSI 880g-E45
AMD PhenomII X4-840 3.2
Crucial Mem 4 sticks 2GB DDR3 Ballistix
Coolmax 650W power supply
Seagate green Barracuda 1.5TB
Asus Blue-Ray Bw-12B1ST.

Could this be a bad disk? and if not any ideas how to get windows installed?

Read both pages and you might get another idea of how to install by putting the ISO on the computer and installing from the hd. (There is a way to create an ISO from a DVD, if you decide to try that).
Of course the easiest first step is to clean the DVD. Do not rub in a circular fashion; rub from the inside out to the edge. Just distilled water on a microfiber cloth might be enough to fix the DVD.

Thank You, I never thought that a new disk would need cleaned but that did the trick.
