Hello, I'm very new to all this and am certainly no computer geek. I'm just a little old lady who surfs, a silver surfer so to speak. I do hope one of you geeks out there can help me as my pension doesn't run to computer repairs you see. :wave

At start up I have been getting a dreaded blue screen which is telling me I have a problem. Well low and behold I have managed to get a code for the problem but dont know how to fix it. %systemroot%\MEMORY.DMP. I'm at my wits end, can somebody help me please?:confused

    Greetings, glenchass.

We need some more information from you: operating system and service pack #, any installed antivirus software, and make and model # of your computer.

Have you attempted to start the machine in Safe Mode? If not, try pressing the F8 function key when you power up the computer, but before Windows starts - if successful, you'll be presented with a page from which you can select several options: for now, select Safe Mode.
If Windows attempts to load, you've missed it - just power down and try again.
