Error message "can not find shell.dll"?

    does anyone know how to fix this problem?i was downloading AVG antivirus and just when it was about to install this error came up please help anyone

    I recently had this problem! By going into c:\windows\system and copying the shell.dll file and pasting it into c:\windows\system32. I was able to fix this issue.
