I just got an intallation disk to re install windows xp on my computer..our computer we bought brand new, crashed over 6months ago and we had to order the recovery disks for it. we did the recovery disk, dumped the hard drive and are now trying to re install windows xp and half way through where it says pick r for repair or enter to continue instalation, i choose continue and it comes up with a blue screen saying "A problem has been detected and windows has benn shut down to your computer. Problem is cause by fallowing file Setupdd.sys Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area ? what is going on? and why wont it finish installing?

That suggests a problem with you computer's hardware, specifically the RAM. If the computer is new and still in warranty I suggest you contact the company who sold it and return it for a replacement.

I've owned 3 computers from Walmart. The last, an eMachine, died within a week. I took it back and got a full refund. I thought about it and decided I wanted the computer so several weeks later, I purchased the same model. It has been working since October 2009.
Don't blame Walmart. Some computers, just like some cars, have problems. There is no way to know ahead of time if it is good or bad.

The first thing I do with a new computer is to burn all the recovery and driver disks through the eRecovery program. (eMachine, Gateway and Acer are owned by the same corporation so all have some sort of eRecovery).
Next, I work on cleaning out the crapware/trialware/bloatware.
I do those two things before I connect to the internet and start updating. When it is updated, I make an Acronis image.
That way, I have a factory disk AND and cleaned up and updated disk to choose from if something goes wrong.

    Hi

is the install disk an original Windows disk or a copy?

What are the specs of your PC and the below may help and follow as written

reason for asking for this info is you may have SATA and that needs a driver from your PC maker to install during the Windows install for the HDDs to be acquired correctly.
